Join the ACLU of San Diego & Imperial Counties' contingent at the 36th Annual San Diego Pride Parade on Saturday, July 17th!

We're proud to announce that our guest of honor will be Constance McMillen, the courageous young woman from Mississippi who stood up for her rights and became a Facebook phenomenon along the way. Constance didn't think it was right when told by school officials that she couldn't attend her prom with her girlfriend. She came to the ACLU for assistance.

Earliest marchers get a free ACLU t-shirt!

All ACLU members, families, friends and colleagues are encouraged to join Constance in our Prom-themed contingent. Wear your old prom dress, a tux (or tuxedo t-shirt!), wrap crepe paper around everything you see, and dance down University Avenue as tens of thousands of people cheer us on! We gather in Hillcrest near the DMV at 10 a.m. for pastries, coffee and juice. March begins at 11 a.m.

Eat some goodies, meet fellow marchers, and help spread the word to onlookers about the ACLU's 90 years of LGBT rights work! We'll be handing out free ACLU t-shirts to the earliest arrivers!

Since the 1930s, the ACLU has been integrally involved in the fight for LGBT rights in the areas of job discrimination, health care, parenting, marriage equality, Internet free speech, and school clubs. We are proud not only of our victories in the courtroom, but also in the legislature and in local communities.

Looking forward to seeing you at our ACLU Pride Parade Contingent on July 17th!
