Most recently John served as the Associate Director of Individual Giving at ACLU-WA where he worked for 9 years. John is a native of Bainbridge Island, which is located a short ferry ride from Seattle. He received a B.A. in nonprofit business management and fashion design from The Evergreen State College. In the past, he has worked as a community organizer, educator, and consultant for a number of nonprofit service and arts organizations. He is active within the LGBTQ+ community and in bringing equitable practices into the fundraising field. Outside of work, he entertains friends and family, works on his family’s 10-acre farm, and is an ad hoc uncle to many wonderful children.
