Thank you for your interest in attending our second annual Equity in Action conference – a day of inspiring, informative programming especially for ACLU members, community activists and leaders to build our collective power to fight for a more just and inclusive region.
This year’s keynote speaker will be CeCe McDonald. A trans woman of color, CeCe is a prominent LGBTQ+ activist and hate crime survivor. Learn more about her story here.
The conference program will feature provocative workshops, panels and trainings on a range of topics, including:
- SB 54: Police and ICE Disentanglement
- Fighting for Housing Equity in California
- Asylum Status at the Border
- Nothing About Youth Without Youth
- Organizing from a Transformational vs. Transactional Approach
We urge you to attend our Equity in Action conference. You will enhance your knowledge of social justice issues affecting our communities, sharpen your leadership and advocacy skills, and connect with diverse activists to advance change together.
The Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice is wheelchair accessible and provides all-gender restrooms. A light breakfast, lunch and snacks will be provided to all attendees, including people with special dietary needs.
