ACLU Celebrates its 10th Year Coordinating Nonpartisan, Interactive Class Speakers
September 16th is Constitution Day! On September 17, 1787, the 55 delegates to the Constitutional Convention held their final meeting. Only one item of business occupied the agenda that day: to sign the Constitution of the United States of America.
For teachers: Learn more about how the program works and then sign up to get a speaker (or speakers!) for your classes!
For attorneys: Volunteer for an hour or two and engage students in inspiring, interactive discussions and debates about constitutional questions that are so relevant today.
Now in its tenth year, the ACLU of San Diego & Imperial Counties has been coordinating a program that engages hundreds of volunteer attorneys who bring the Constitution and Bill of Rights to life for thousands of San Diego and Imperial County middle and high school students in a nonpartisan, interactive program that celebrates the Constitution.
