In an historic effort to ensure that civil liberties will endure into the next millennium, the ACLU Foundation created the Trust for the Bill of Rights, a nationwide ACLU endowment to which our supporters gave more than $25 million.
This permanent endowment for the ACLU builds principal and generates income to meet unanticipated emergencies, sustain our quality of programs at all times, and ensure that the institution is strong centrally and in all areas of the country.
